Assistant Planner // 2017 Wedding Season (May - November)
Sara Brown Weddings is enthusiastic to be hiring an Assistant Planner for the 2017 wedding season. The ideal candidate is a college student or individual who is eager to learn and interested in a career in event or wedding planning/management.
The Assistant Planner will be responsible for supporting the Lead Planner throughout the wedding day. Tasks will be extremely varied and will be assigned by the Lead Planner. Tasks may include:
Assistance with wedding decor setup
Assistance with timeline management and cues
Greet and assist vendor team
Attend to questions
Coordinate logistics with bride, groom, families, wedding parties, wedding vendor team and event venue
Assist with event clean up
The Assistant should embody the spirit and standards of Sara Brown Weddings - accommodating, hospitable, encouraging, and relational.
The Assistant must be detailed-orientated, friendly and responsive.
The Assistant must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to manage multiple tasks and demands, be self motivated and punctual.
The Assistant must be a team player and have excellent relations with lead planner, couple, family, wedding guests and wedding professionals.
The Assistant must be excited about learning the ins and outs of the wedding industry.
The Assistant must be able to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
The Assistant must have a reliable form of transportation to/from weddings in Denver and Boulder.
Assistant Planners must be prepared for varied schedules and should expect to be assigned between 5-10 events over the course of the season (May - November). The Assistant should be prepared to be on-site approximately 10 hours per assigned wedding. The Assistant must have flexibility to attend weddings on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays).
Our Lead Planners begin their journeys with Sara Brown Weddings as Assistant Planners. If at the end of the season it is beneficial for both the Assistant and Sara Brown Weddings to discuss future opportunities, growth opportunity conversations will be held at that time.
Throughout the summer Assistant Planner experience, additional projects and assignments may also be assigned should they be of interest to the Assistant.
