Back when my 29th year began, I scratched this 30 before 30 list on the back of an old wedding planning timeline draft. It was a spark of inspiration to care for myself and take time for personal adventure. Yes, this was a small miracle smack dab in the middle of wedding season!
I'm halfway through my 365 day challenge and have completed 11/30... and here's a little update:
4. Ski a black
Completed 1/2/2016 in Breckenridge with only a few cuss words.
6. Take Sundays off
I've been successful at this one... mostly!
8. Make a live Christmas wreath
This was a highlight of my 2015 Christmas season, thanks to dear friends, spiced sangria and lots of cheer.
9. Visit my grandparents in Chicago
I'm not sure how anything will top this one on my list. I made the trek to Chicago with my mom where we visited both of my grandmothers. They're adorable, plainly hilarious and sweet as can be. I hope I can have as much spunk and joy as them.
11. Join a women's bible study
I actually joined a small group at church with my husband. Men allowed. Counting anyways:)
14. Finish Harry Potter
Progress: Just finished book #5, holy cannot put these books down!
16. See the Maroon Bells
This was checked off on a sweet trip planned by my husband! 9/24/16
21. Move into our new house and decorate!
We moved! We're decorating! Cannot wait to share the final product. Yes, we took this photo with a selfie stick.
22. See the Plaza lights this holiday season
In my single days, I lived on the plaza in Kansas City and loved watching the lights out my window. It was so much fun to check this off my list on Christmas night with Scott and my in-laws, Doug and Cindy. Killing it again with the selfie.
23. Visit Hanging Lake
We made the hike up to hanging lake on 9/24/16. Totally beautiful.
27. Secret business goal: sb borrowed launch!
Eek! could not be more excited and proud that this one's out in the universe.
29. Purchase a piece of local art
While in Steamboat for vacation over the summer, Scott spotted these gorgeous mountain pieces from local designer, Bear Mountain Metal Art. And, the man fell in love. I had a custom piece created for his 31st birthday. What better than to commission the flatirons, the first place we fell in love with when we moved to Colorado?!
19 to go... crunch time!
