River Bend has to be everything that a Colorado Wedding Planner's dreams are made of.
Add in my incredibly awesome, gracious and kind couple, Ashlyn and Corey, and I die.
Ashlyn and Corey's wedding day was a favorite of recent memory. They got engaged in April, and hired me to plan their October wedding. I'm a sucker for quick engagements and the "we just can't wait to get married!" sentiment. It's fun and exciting and totally doable if you're the decisive and open-minded type.
Ashlyn and Corey had this super fun vision - they wanted a hospitable pizza dinner, and a party where their friends and family could celebrate under the stars. They wanted very thoughtful and nostalgic details (enter their favorite dessert banana pudding, beer mugs in lieu of toasting flutes, and special jobs for the couples pups). Ashlyn is an amazingly talented quilter, and they asked each guest to return their RSVP with a piece of fabric. Ashlyn made a magical quilt with all of these pieces. We incorporated this in special ways throughout the day. I die.
Truly, it's the meaningful and personal details that are the difference between a good wedding and a great wedding. Before I go on gushing, just take a look.
Congratulations again, Ashlyn and Corey. You're welcome for finishing your blog before your first wedding anniversary;)
Ashlyn and Corey decided to exchange love letters prior to their first look. Chris Loring did such an amazing job capturing the raw emotion of this experience!
